Statistics: Russia’s inflation at zero in Feb 20–Monday
MOSCOW, Feb 28 (PRIME) -- Russian consumer prices remained flat in the week from February 20 through Monday, and inflation reached 0.6% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a report on Wednesday.
In the reported week, prices for eggs grew by 0.6%, for millet by 0.4% and for sugar by 0.2%. Prices for pork and buckwheat fell by 0.4% and for poultry, sausages, butter, sunflower oil, rise, salt, vodka, cookies, and pasteurized milk by 0.1–0.2%.
Prices for fruit and vegetables grew 0.9% on average. Cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, potatoes, and onion prices rose 1.0–2.2%, while prices for tomatoes dropped 0.7%.
Gasoline and diesel fuel prices remained flat.
